Brianna Capacchione, MS, LAC, is a Licensed Associate Counselor who is passionate about helping adolescents, teens and young adults reach their full potential both on and off the field. She has earned a Master’s degree in Clinical and Counseling Psychology from Chestnut Hill College and her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Assumption College. During this time, she gained experience as both a collegiate coach and collegiate athlete at the Division II level.
With personal experience as a former collegiate athlete, Brianna understands the unique pressures and demands of participating in sport. Having served as a collegiate coach, she was able to provide valuable insights into team dynamics and athletic development. She specializes in addressing a wide range of concerns that athletes often face, including boosting confidence, maintaining motivation, managing performance anxiety and perfectionism, developing mental toughness, and overcoming mental blocks. Additionally, Brianna’s experience as a Licensed Associate Counselor, allows her to address the emotional and psychological well-being of athletes.
Brianna uses a holistic approach with athletes and helps them develop the tools and strategies needed to manage their mental health effectively using evidence-based practices such as mental imagery, self-talk, mindfulness, and goal-setting. Brianna also has experience utilizing Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to enhance the performance of athletes by addressing and resolving psychological barriers. She emphasizes an empathic, non-judgmental environment for all individuals to feel safe and understood.
